Deborah Parker - Fit & Fun Director

debsHi I’m Debbie. I’ve had a keen interest in all sports from an early age, and regularly played football and hockey as a child. I still play a high level of hockey every weekend for Merton Hockey Club, and with over 27 seasons experience am currently the club President. I also play golf and enjoy visits to my local gym for a swim or a workout.

My background in coaching started as a volunteer, coaching adults and children with learning disabilities for the ‘Special Olympics’. At college I gained my coaching badges before progressing to university to gain my sports degree. During this time I would coach during the holidays for different companies and local education authorities.

What I Enjoy About My Job

Where do I start!! Every day is different, and there is not a day goes by where I do not have a huge smile on my face. Every child is unique, and getting to know their personality and to see how they develop physically and emotionally is a real highlight. To know that I have played a small part in their education is highly rewarding, but above all my job is fun.
